Went to Mississippi this weekend for conformation experience and learned a lot on so many different levels. We didn't pull this time so mom could concentrate. This was my first ever official conformation show. --One of the judges was cute and said, " Your dog looks great but you have no idea what you're doing, do you?" I had to laugh right then and there! I agreed with her and she applauded my "jump right in and do it" attitude!
Ace, my male didn't get anything because the champion class is hard and I am learning. My 8 month old girl Lil Bit got a first place in her class though. I was very proud of her. I took just Ace and Lil Bit just by themselves so they had some father /daughter bonding time. When I took one to the ring, the other would whine as we walked away. It was sweet to see.
There was so much talk about points and how the point scoring all works my head is spinning! I had fun but UKC sure is different than ADBA! Conformation sure is different than pulling too!
The cool thing was I met folks that had relatives of the dogs I have and we played the "how are we related" game.
It was also an all dog breed show, so seeing all the different types of dogs there was educational as well. Very fun, but I am tired and proud of my babies. Like I said, I learned so much and more than I expected.
APBT or AMBULLY the BSL doesn't discriminate. HSUS kills both.
If it has teeth it will bite and if it has hooves it will kick
