HELP!

So I've started my dogs on a raw diet about two weeks ago, and they get about 1.3lbs a day (2% of their body weight)..now I'm still learning a lot, but I was running late for work this morning and didn't have time to feed them so I texted my husband exactly what to feed them and how much when he woke up. Somehow he ended up feeding them 3lbs each for breakfast of chicken necks and oxtail..I know they'll be ok..but, I've done minimal reading on fasting them and I'm assuming this would be the time to start? ANY advice is appreciated!

Just skip a meal. Honestly, if you're running late and don't trust anyone else to feed, then missing a meal won't hurt. They'll be fine. If it happens a lot, or you want to get them down to one meal a day, just change meal portions to compensate. There are raw feeders out there that offer gorge meals and don't feed but a couple of times per week and sometimes less then that. I'm not that hardcore. But you can see how it's OK to miss a meal if the need should arise.

That's what I was thinking. I have their meals all written out on the fridge and he said he understood it so I guess its up to me for now haha. Thank you so much!

I usually prepack meals if I'm having someone else feed. Open bag, feed dog, done. Then there's nothing lost in translation.
