Anyone got advice on fleas?
Hey, my boy has been scratching a lot lately and just generally down in the dump with fleas. An recommendations on a good product to kill fleas? I looked at Comfortis but I found a page that lists seizures as one of the side effects. We have troubles with seizures every now and then so I'm now starting to think it's not the best option.
Cheers!
P.S. I've cleaned out the house from top to bottom. Took absolutely forever. Bleached places I thought could be problem areas. Urgh... Lol...

I use Bravecto for fleas & ticks. One chew tab lasts for 3 months, which is our entire bug season here, so it's super effective.

I add a spoonful of food grade diatomaceous earth and a cap full of unfiltered organic apple cider vinegar with 'the mother' to their food daily. Fleas stay away.

Wow, 3 months? Never heard of that before, I'll look into it!

Sounds much safer than the other flea products. Maybe I'll go this route instead, thanks for the suggestion!

I believe it's fairly new. Has worked great for us so far, not a single bug found on my dogs and this year's supposed to be really bad for ticks. It kills 3 or 4 different kinds of ticks and fleas. About $40 for a 3 month dose.

We do the same and treat the yard with powdered lyme...not a flea

Great suggestion. I ended up having to try Comfortis, I felt that the natural things weren't working. Most sites I found like Magic Malamutes ( Much Ado About Fleas: Comfortis & More! - Magic Malamutes) said it was the best option, but then none of them spoke about Bravecto.
I like that it lasts so long, much more convenient.

I must be doing something wrong... I've bleached out trouble areas anyway, been doing a lot of reading on how to get rid of fleas from the home.

If you ever need a quick flea treatment, try Capstar. We used it on a dog at the clinic and literally watched the fleas fall off him in minutes, dead.
