Blue Buffalo causing diarrhea?

Our 4 month old has been eating Blue Buffalo Puppy chow for the past two months, and has already had 2 cases of severe diarrhea, one of which included vomiting as well. We thought it might be the treats we were feeding him, so we changed, but then he had diarrhea again about 4 weeks later (last week). He also has always had bad gas. Like knock you off your chair bad; it straight up smells like he poo'ed on the floor. Has anyone had issues with this food?

As a followup question, has anyone tried Rachel Ray's grain free kibble? It's almost half the price of Blue Buffalo and looks like quality ingredients.

Yes I have. I feed BB to my boy when I first got him but it was too rich for his system. Never gave him diarrhea but he had gas that would gag a maggot. We quit giving it to him and went through several gradual food changes before we found one that agreed with him and us. Now he is happy and so are we. :woof:

Derek, after trying many of the popular brands that have worked well for others I settled on Diamond Lamb Meal & Rice which has a decent health rating. I've been using it for almost three years. It's affordable, my dogs like it and more importantly, it agrees with their digestive system.

I forgot to mention that any change in food has to be done gradually. Mix a little of the new food into their regular food adding a little more every few days until it has switched to all the new food. I will spend 10 days or so more making the switch.
