Unhappy puppy skin issues

Niko is now 8 months old. Around 2 months ago i gave him Sentry fleas and tick on the back of his neck. He had an instant reaction to the meds. Since then hes been all two different antibiotics, two different shampoos, an skin scarpe, blood work. All coming back that he's an healthy dog. We have tried changing his food. He's now on a doctor prescribed "kangaroo" iams food. He started getting better for maybe a week and now its back. His skin looks horrible and he's so itchy and uncomfortable. I give him fish oil already nothing seems to help.

The thing about those prescription hypoallergenic foods is that while they have different proteins that may be less reactive for your dog, they're usually full of fillers that your dog may still be sensitive to. The food could still be the issue, but it's also possible that he has some environmental allergies.

I would ask for a referral to a dermatologist vet and have an allergy test done. They are expensive up front but it will save you time and money that you would otherwise spend on switching foods and products.

Once you know what he's allergic to, it'll be much easier to treat.
