Pet insurance??

Anyone have pet insurance for their dog? Is it worth it? I know things happen and they get sick just like we do but I'm also looking for something that will also cover yearly wellness visits. I've looked online but I'm skeptical bc there's always "fine print". I'd rather take the honest recommendations from everyone here.

While I don't personally use it, I do think it's worth it. Especially if you have active young dogs, there's always a chance of something happening and unless you have a large savings (which is what I choose to do for my dogs instead of insurance), it's a good way to prepare. I work in a clinic so I see the benefits of insurance all the time. You just never know when your dog's going to tear a cruciate or eat something they shouldn't. There are a few companies that cover routine exams, blood work, etc. The plans are usually offered on several levels, with the ones covering those things costing more for monthly premiums.

I was looking into aspca insurance and i read the "fine print" an it says that they will never downgrade the coverage due to health or age, however they will increase my premium. Is this common amongst other companies also? I tried to look and see but I couldn't find any more information

I have heard mixed reviews so totally do your research. Most people swear by it who get it that I have talked to.
