Did you change her food recently? Did you change it gradually?
Try a little canned pumpkin. Just a tablespoon. That should help a little until you can get her to a vet. If she's a puppy, then it is very important that she see a vet if she has the runs. Parvo is a very real and very serious issue with puppies. You'll definitely want to get that ruled out.

It's most likely related to the food switch but still get her vet checked. I would also suggest the pumpkin just make sure it's real pumpkin and not pumpkin pie filling. See if that helps firm her up some in the meantime. Being she's just a baby there's always the chance that she may have gotten into something that just upset her tummy. As much as we try we literally just can't see every little thing they get their mouth on. If it's that or food related the pumpkin should help but keep that vet appointment too. Always better to be on the safe side.

I would give it in each feeding for a day and see if it firms her up. It may take a few days but it should help as it does sound like it's either the food or something she ate upset her tummy. I would still keep the vet apt just to be safe. The pumpkin is safe to give for a few days it just helps calm their tummies.

I'm glad to hear that it's not parvo and that she's doing much better! Hopefully she continues to be on the med. Diarrhea is no fun for you or her.

We all hate the Vet bill but you did the right thing JennyB. Happy to hear that Karma is improving and no threat of parvo virus. Probably something she ate when you weren't looking. One of mine is notorious for that.

Good to hear it's not parvo! Not sure where you live, since it's only a worry in certain areas, but could she of gotten a hold of a dead fish? I live in the northwest and salmon can carry disease in them. Many years ago one of my dogs got ahold of one and it was a lot of diarrhea and vomiting and we thought we'd loose him. He had to stay at the vets for a week on iv.

Another thought, my pit can't eat any food with poultry in it. He gets hot spots from it. Don't know how common a sensitivity to poultry is, but if yours was eating something without it prior with out issue, you might switch to a recipe without poultry.

Hope she is doing well now.
