Help! Pit puppy skin problem!

My lil pup, simba has developed this weird sort of skin (rash-type thing) problem thatís caused him to lose a lot of hair. Iíve taken him to two separate vets, who both told me it was just allergies. But none of their medication has helped in the least. Iím at a loss for what to do. Heís completely healthy otherwise, just itchy and biting at these spots. Do you guys have any idea what this could be?

Ive included both an older and newer spot for the rash. The older one has sort of scabbed over, the other one is pink and kind of still pretty irritated.

What are you feeding him?

You can use organic coconut oil as a topical for that. Put a cone of shame on him as well to stop the licking and biting that is causing the scabbing and skin damage.

He eats taste of the wild puppy food only.

Unfortunately cones for dogs arenít available here, which is why itís gotten so out of hand. Coconut oil once a day? Will help the rashes clear up?

When my pitbull was younger he would get rashes not quite as bad but they were rashes none the less, one thing that seemed to really help is apple cider vinegar it may smell bad but it works

cones are not available in your area? your vet should have plenty of them.
coconut oil will help the inflammation if the cause is allergies. and it probably is.
BUT, that first picture looks like mange to me. did the vet perform a skin scrape?

Is the TOTW chicken? If so switch to fish. Gradually transition to prevent loose stool.

Def have a skin scrapping done. Jo is pretty spot on for things like this.

Coconut oil is a natural antibacterial and will help sooth the inflamed skin. I don't recommend ACV in this instance since the skin is so raw. It will burn.
You can buy a cone online if your vet cannot provide one. You only need your dogs neck measurement to find the right size.

I am checking for cones online, but vets here generally donít use them. (Idk why). The cones are very hard to come by.

So coconut oil, once a day?
Yes they performed skin scrapings and everything, took him to two separate vets. Both said it was allergies.

Look how sad he is now ?

You can put coconut oil on it as many times as you want. It's all natural and organic, so won't hurt him even if he licks it.
Once his wounds look less inflamed you can wipe him down with ACV and water mix 50/50 after every trip outdoors. Also look into hypoallergenic detergent and fabric softener to wash his bedding in.
And consider a protein change in his diet. If you're feeding chicken, switch to fish.

Awesome! I applied coconut oil to him today, although he probably licked it off instantly (he loves the taste/smell)

I currently give him the Taste of the Wild dry food, in bison and Venison flavour. Should I switch to another brand for fish, or the same?

That one has chicken in it. There is a TOTW Pacific Stream that is fish based without chicken. Transition slowly to that one. It's the easiest thing to change to try and find out what the allergies are from. Usually food and contact. So change food and detergent.

What about switching over to a different food company? What would you recommend. (A reasonably priced one tho)

Changing brands is OK but you need to do it slowly and it should be a fish based protein. Chicken is the most common food allergen.

Acana and Orijen in my opinion are the best kibble brands on the market. But I feed TOTW Pacific Stream because that's what's in my budget.
