does she need to gain weight?

When we got her she was emaciated weighing in at 35lbs on 1/10/2018 and today she weighs in at 42lbs. Is she at a good weight now or should we continue to add a few more lbs?

Welcome to the forum Harper. She looks really good. At 35 lbs she must have been skin and bones. Personally, I would get her to 45-48 lb. area and maintain her around that weight. What is that gorgeous girls name?

Thanks! thats good to know. Harper is actually her name I figured since this was a pit bull forum I'd use her name in stead of mine. She was...it was horrible cant believe someone would do that to her or any dog for the matter.

Hello there! I do think Harper needs a little bit more weight. Personally I like them a little bit more heavier, around 25kgs (55lbs?) range.

She is gorgeous!

Thanks! I'm trying to help her gain but she's a hard gainer. I've been feeding her 2-2.5 cups of TOTW 1/4 lb of ground beef and an hardboiled egg everyday and she's stuck at 42ish pounds. I should also mention that she is a picky eater and gets bored of the same old stuff so sometimes she would go a day without really eating much.

I also think that you should try to increase her weight; it should be around 50-55lbs.

She doesn't look terribly thin. Maybe a couple lbs more. Most pets in the US are fat. I'd focus on keeping her fit.
