changed food how long to see results

I changed my 4 and a half month old pits food from purina to **** Van Pattens Natural Balance Sweet Potato and fish formula about a month ago. I hasnt really seemed to help. He is still scratching himself raw under his arms and has spots of missing hair. Hes been checked for mange multiple times all negative. I dont know what to do

You might want to do more research on dog food and try to find out what he's allergic to. Try The Honest Kitchen, it's really good stuff.

I've heard it said that 16 weeks is the time frame to really see the results of a food change. I usually see changes more rapidly than that, but its probably a good general range. If you've ruled out external parasites and environmental influences, maybe you should pick a more high-quality food? There are grain-free diets out there that, while expensive and not normally suggested for puppies, might help with the itching.

D ick Van Pattens is a good food I feed the organic forumal which I don't think contained corn. There are Limited Ingrident diets that DVP. Have you given any thoughts to going to a raw diet.

DVp that im feeding him is grain free. I was thinking he could also be allergic to grass. Raw Diet is kind of out of the question because im a college kid on a budget with a crazy schedule.

And he stinks. Like a day after i give him a bath he stinks again. I think its because he licks himself but im not sure. anyone else having this problem?

What does he smell like? A healthy dog should not have an order. I have never bathed any of my dogs and they don't smell. What kind of shampoo are you using?
