Parvo raises it's ugly head in Chi town

For anyone living in and around Chicago watch out for a very nasty stain of Parvo. We have 3 Corso pups hit with it. We got the pups {6 of them} from an idiot who bred them , left them on the bitch 8 wks { no food or water} and then gave them to us since they we small - NO DUH!!! Of course they had no shots. We gave them their first round of shots and got them most of the way back. Last Sunday the first one stopped eating. In 12 hrs he had a fever , vomiting and diarreah - luckily no blood. We got him to the vet monday am.Thursday the other 2 stopped eating - the went straight to the vet. We found out the vet had 8 corsos pups besides ours with parvo. Along with a number of pits. Unfortunately some people waited too long and there was no saving the dogs. The vet called it "silent parvo". It hits hard and fast. The pups shut down in 12 hours.I was amazed how fast ours went. I'm not sure where else this may be , but people around the Chi watch out
