Raw diet!

Victory my name is shelby!
Well bella has been on the raw diet for at least 3 weeks. I know longer but dont remember when I started so I am just going to go for more then 3 weeks.
For over that period of time I have constantly been given dirty looks and have had words thrown at me that were hurt full. Some being along the lines of I abuse my dog, I am mean, heartless, crual, and so on.
I will admit its been hard to keep her on raw even though I knew it was the best. For the first time today, I have gotten a complement on bella from someone who didnt support it at all.
Mom hates any time of raw meat and to be giving it to bella sickened her, though she never made any of the nasty comments about what I did. She did well after the first few days, giving up and coming to terms that I wasnt going to stop. She broke down and did say that ever since bella started the raw diet she has noticed that bella is shedding less.
I about screamed for joy that finally someone said something possitive about it! Shana has been my only supporter here and for mom to break down and complement what I am doing has just got me even more motivated. Its been so hard to keep up, with all the put down people give. I have taken notice bella has had more energy and she has lost some of the weight (main goal of going onto the raw) that she doesnt need. Slow and steady but she is looking so much better. Just thought I would share lol

Its always nice when someone notices a positive change a good diet is doing for your dog. Ilove the results we have seen with our boy on raw we switched all the dogs over 2weeks ago hopefully will see the same results with them. I havent had any rude comments about our choice of feed for the dogs, although we dont go out there making it public other then some of our pups owners and family that happen to be here during the feedings. What were people so against raw for with you? is it just the myth type stuff that raw meat makes them mean or was there actually decent arguments against it?

They (well most one person) think that seeing as dogs are so domesticated, its unhealthy. Well, in one point in time, way back when dogs were wolves. You dont see wolves starting up a first and saying 'hang on let me cook my bunny' lol
Its funny because then they would pull out the whole we evolved from monkeys. I would have to pull out the 'there is no proof that we came from monkeys and the only reason why people thought that was because they have thumbs that are used to help them pick stuff up. There is little to no chance there will be enough proof that we came from monkeys.' It just cracks me up with all the false facts. One was even feeding purina dog food and saying she feeds her dogs a great brand. Though, when pulling her dog food back out I was able to point out four things wrong out of the first 6 things in the bag.

What makes it hard is I have to keep a watch out because they will try to slip bella stuff. I have caught my mom multiple times trying to give bella, harleys kibble(harley went back on kibble because harley is moms dog and I cant put a dog on raw that isnt mine). I have taken bella over to (name left out for personally reasons), to stay the night with me and I would walk out to find they filled their dog bowls up with extra so bella could eat it. They would find ways to mess bella up. I wouldnt mind bella being slipped things now and then, but if I dont start nailing people for it, she wont eat what she needs to eat. It does get tiring, not being able to go anywhere, or being able to relax but what needs to be done, needs to be done.
One thing I just LOVE is when I am told I am starving my dog....well yea I dont leave a full dish down 24/7 but you should never do that any ways. Also Bellas meals are at least twice the size of when she ate kibble...yea she is really starving eating twice as much then what she use to lol

EDIT
Also it mostly come from a few family members. I am vocal about it when asked, and when I hear someone wondering I do recommend and if they say its not their cup of tea, I tell them the best kibble I know
