OK, suggestions for Probiotics & other allergen help?

I have been reading though the threads, both mine and A LOT on Tempest's Allergy diary and have some great ideas as well as a few questions of preference.

I did the bedding in All Free & Clear, and wiped out his crate with the Dawn solution. Later today (when I have another set of arms) I am going to bathe him with the Dawn and then rinse really well followed by an oatmeal soak.

I want to make the ACV solution but can't seem to find the "formula" to wipe his paws down with after coming inside... is it just ACV and water, equal parts? I saw something about ACV and peroxide but I think that is for ear issues?

We had skin scrapes done yesterday and besides the infection between his toes, he has a pretty good deal of yeast infection on his skin, under his belly and neck. I realize this could be exacerbated by the antibiotics he has been on but think it may be a chronic issue for him. The vet said we would discuss more at a follow up in 2 weeks but while we are on on the meds, I thought I would start researching how to be a bit more proactive with it.

I read about several types of supplements but there are many to choose from. Is there a "one size fits all" probiotic that would cover a multitude of sins or are they as individual as medications? Are certain brands more affordable and or effective? Would simply giving him plain organic yogurt every morning be enough to help keep this yeast from coming back?

We are on a grain free diet and I am not giving him treats until I sort out what is going to work for us that way.

I do plan on getting him allergy tested but, at over $200, I thought maybe I might be able to sort him out before I can afford this testing. I am still feeding fish oil with meals but I just want to get this boy feeling like his normal self on a regular basis...

Your input is appreciated, but as much as I know many of you will tell me I NEED to go RAW, I have researched that and besides not being sure of my ability to commit to that, there are NO butchers in this town. We have Krogers that get's all their meat pre-trimmed from a wharehouse and Walmart. It just isn't a viable option for us now and I am sure with quality food and diligence he can have a happy, healthy life without going RAW.

Lastly, I picked up cortisone cream yesterday and still have Benedryl, should I hold off on giving him Benedryl while he is taking, antibiotics, anti-fungal and steroids or is it ok to give it to him if he is showing signs of being itchy or would it be better in your opinion to just treat topically with the cortisone?

I know I ask a lot of questions, but, I am trying to get it right and already feel like I take SO much time with the vet, plus I always forget some ?'s when I am in there

Thank you!
