i have been thinking for a while about feeding my dog raw food andi have questions

i want to start feeding my dog raw food but i have a few questions about it. what exactly should i be feeding him when it comes to raw stuff. i dont expect to go to stop &shop and buy a package of steak chop it up and feed it to him or do i? like is there a certaint brand that i can buy him that doesnt seem so risky? and what are some precautions of making this transaction and how much should i feed him raw food?now he eats a bowl of dry food in the morning and during the evening he wieghs 68 pounds. any info is great. i switched my vet and she said that feeding him raw food sounds like a more natural diet but she didnt have much else to say.

brogers is on a distinguished road
Its very easy to do, I spend about 30 min every 1 1/2 to 2 weeks preparing his food, after that its sooo easy, I am in the process of using a butcher to get scrap from but I go to walmart and get chicken legs and pork necks and I just measure out my meat with a postal gram scale and I put the exact measure in a zip lock bag and put in the freezer , Then I take plain yogurt , brocollie , green beans, 1 apple, apple cider vinegar , beef liver ,Carrots, and blend it up in the blender and then pour it into a muffin pans and freeze , there is half of his food, , all this was done thanks to geisthexe , she came up with the ingreds and idea for the muffin pans to make it but the dog has a huge energy level , his poop got alot smaller , and his coat looks awesome and so far it is costing me about $36 dollars a month if I have it figured right, but I only feed it to Tug.
