Potty training help

Well Kimber has learned a new trick, run around the house and pee at the same time :/ we have her on a schedule and she has been doing really well with letting us know when she needs to go out but lately she just will stand there and pee then if we try to walk up to her to take her outside she runs everywhere while still peeing ! Anyone have any suggestions to fix this or what may be causing the problem? Ive never had this hard of time potty training before

excitement or 'submissive' peeing is common in pups. they grow out of it.

also, maybe talk to your Vet about checking to see if she may have a urinary tract infection.

Hugz to Kimber.

and good luck with the potty training.

Ammo would do that. It's like he didn't want to stop playing so he'd just walk stop pee with no warning. Occasionally he'd walk and pee. We just took him out more often, got the potty training bells which he picked up on really quick.

It's so weird bc you can tell by her facial expressions she knows she's doing something bad but it's like she can't help it. She literally drops the toy and starts peeing (we say "no, bad girl") then runs from us while still peeing, when we do finally get a leash on her we Take her straight outside but by then she's done peeing She got fixed last month and we noticed it around that time too. I asked the vet when she 1st started it and he said its probably bc she just got fixed but that was close to a month ago so I guess it's time for another visit.

How old is she? I know dogs don't gain real control over their bladders until a few months old. That may be why she doesn't stop when you tell her no. My pup used to do that, now he will stop peeing and I will take him out to finish.

But I'm like the worst potty trainer ever so I can't give much more help lol. Pup is almost 6 months old and still not fully trained. lol

Yea I would check with the vet just to make sure. Ammo would be in the middle of playing. We normally stop play time after 10-20 minutes bc he would just pee. For a bit I thought it was an infection or something. Then we got potty training bells and its like everything clicked. Good luck with her. Hope it gets all figured out. And Kayla made a good point. Could depend on age too.

Could be a UTI or something was compromised with the Spay. Your vet should be able to tell you for sure.
