Trimming nails

It's gotten to a point where I can't do anything around her nails. She bless me touch them and mess with her as much as I want but if I have a "tool" she will be very afraid and run off.

I've tried treats, ssomeone helping me and I just can't get it done.. Short of literally forcing her down I don't know what to do.. And if I force her I'm afraid she'll just hate it more and make it more difficult or get her to stop trusting me.

Any tips?

I used to pet the dogs with the clippers from the time they were pups. I also spent lots of time just getting them adjusted to me touching them anywhere on their body. Try petting the dog with the clippers slowly working down to its paws. Are u using clippers or a grinder?

I just walk them on concrete. It naturally grinds down the nails..

I can try petting her with them, she'd probably be ok with that but once I go toward her legs she'll get out of there asap.

I walk her and her back nails are actually very short but the fronts don't seen to trim down front walks... I walk her a little over a mile or more if I'm in for a longer walk at least 4-5 times a week, maybe that isn't enough...

I have the clipper ane grinder, and even tried with a nail file and should would allow it for a bit until she realized what was really going on...

Can u tie her out on top of a concrete pad for a couple hours a day?

You're gonna have to work her slowly in with petting with the clippers. It could take months before shed let you actually attempt to trim her..

I'll try petting her for a while.. It's too hot and I have no shade on the deck so I'll try to walk her a bit more...
