Feeding too much?

I feed Diesel BB puppy, mixed with primal freeze dried formula. I played around with different feeding amounts and schedules till I found one that worked: a cup of kibble with 1 bar of freeze dry mixed together twice a day(breakfast & lunch).

At first he would finish it all in one sitting but now I'm starting to have to force him to finish but still was eating twice a day. Today though, he did not want his breakfast at all. I tried again around lunch time, he took a few bites and that was that. I tried again at dinner and he finally finished it all.

I'm wondering if I should change the feeding amount again, to half a cup of kibble mixed with a bar of freeze dry twice a day, or if a cup and a bar or two of the freeze dry is enough for a day. I know a healthy dog will never starve itself, and he did eat today just not his usual amount I'm just wondering if I am over doing it and that's why he stopped finishing his food all in one sitting.
