WHAT AM I ???

Name: oscar2.jpg
Views: 515
Size: 29.0 KBI RESCUED AN 8 WEEK OLD APBT FROM A WARANT SERVED BY LOCAL POLICE DEPT. I AM NOT SURE WHAT BLOODLINES HIS TRAITS COME FROM. HE IS NOW 20 MONTHES OLD. HE HAS A SMALL UNDER BITE AND VERY DIFFERANT TOOTH PLACEMENT THAN MY 6 Y/O APBT. HE IS ALSO ONLY ABOUT 44 POUNDS. HE IS VERY SMART AND A GREAT WORKING DOG. HE IS FULLY OBEDIENCE TRAINED AND HAS BASIC PROTECTION TRAINING. HE IS VERY FRIENDLY ALL THE TIME BUT ALSO KNOWS WHEN ITS TIME TO WORK. CAN SOMEONE MAYBE HELP ME ID OSCAR?

Okay again...
If the dog did not come from papered parents or the papers where never sent in for this dog. you will NEVER know the bloodline. Period.

Underbites are a sign of bad or tight breeding its not a bloodline trait. 44lbs is a good weight for a true APBT most lines with produce dogs around this size.

Just enjoy him for the dog he is, because you are not going to be able to find out his bloodline unless you can find out if the parents where papered and what their papered names and registration numbers are/were. Sorry

I wouldn't say an underbite is a sign of bad breeding. We have 6 generation line and some have underbites. Its the bulldog blood showing up - I think its cute. All of ours are Razors Edge. They are smaller - 40-50pounds compact and extremely smart. Great escape artists!! I would say just enjoy - you may never find out what the bloodlines are.

a underbite many times is a sign of a boxer up in the woodpile ive come to find, not a bad thing just a lesser apbt, but a desent pitbull or at least your average garden varaity,if the dog makes you happy as a pet, thats all that matters really.
