Unless I did my research wrong and some friends from England, Czech republic and Poland that breed staffys did also. Staffordshire Bull Terriers weren't named after Staffordshire the city/county it was named after the pub when the first standard was written and agreed upon.

None the less I enjoyed the thread Alot of great info and history. I appreciate the the learning

I'm new to the APBT world and I thought the article was very informative. Once I decide to get one this info will empower me when people start freaking out about me having a pitbull and I have to explain to them the real deal when it comes to this breed. Good stuff.

I know this is ancient thread but anyway...

The pub was the Old Cross Guns which was operated by Joe and Lil Mallen (Gentleman Jim's breeder)
