Hello slypitty. Greetings and welcome to the forum. Blitz is a good looling pup.

Nothing wrong with some tug of war. Just watch him, if he starts getting too excited or starts bitting you fingers give him a firm "no" (or whatever you stop word is) and end the session. After he quits and relaxes you can go another round.

If his dry meal is too hard or too big of pieces you can soften it with a little warm water.
Have you had him to the vet and dewormed?

Joe

Exactly what Jttar said but also if you just got him recently he may need some time to acclimate to his new house before he starts to eat better.

for a puppy I just play tug (keep in mind their baby teeth will start falling out in the next few months so dont be alarmed) When they get older I play tug for training "drop" and for helping with bite inhibition to learn not to go near my hand/fingers.

I look forward to more pictures. SO ADORABLE
