Here for it all.

Hii. New here and new to raising a pitbull puppy. Hoping to find help in the troublesome areas of training and raising, the do’s and don’ts of it all, and health and well being tips. Also, to educate myself further on the culture, lineages, history, etc of the pitbull. I was raised around plenty and have always had a love for them. But this is my first puppy to own.

Welcome to the forum Bmarcantel, glad to have you aboard. Spend some time looking around and feel free to jump in and ask any questions that you can't find the answer to using the search feature here.
Can you tell us a bit about your puppy and perhaps some pictures?

⚠️ Warning ⚠️
Sorry about the long post. I’m obsessed with my new puppy love 🐶💕

Meet BabyGirl. 😁 I’ve had her for a week now. She’s about 8-9 weeks. Was told she’s a blue brindle/razors edge/watchdog. I’d like to see about getting papers, but was told the breeders didn’t have the money to register the litter. Idk anything about any of that. 🏾
She’s really sweet, she’s sensitive (you can tell, her poor little feelings get hurt when I fuss 😂 it’s so cute tho). Full of life and so playful. She’s a character.
In my opinion, she’s doing good with kenneling. She has no problem going in it and doesn’t cry all night about it. She’s really chill. I’ve caught her using the restroom in it, but bare minimum and I can put that blame on me. Im working on my potty training skills 😓 that’s a tough one for us both.
Leash training and commands are gonna be a hell of a time. I’ve already tried starting leash, but she’s not having it. 🏻
As far as health.. I gave her her first 5 in 1 shot + corona just the other day. I felt like it was helping a lot. Her energy went up, her bloating went down, and I’m pretty sure it removed some worms.
But as of today she seemed to bloat back up. It worried me. But I did switch from some high protein food I had borrowed from a fellow pit owner, to some pedigree puppy food. Her energy had went down slightlyy. I believe she pooped less today too, I just have a feeling it’s the food..
any suggestions about the best food that’s reasonably priced to feed her? Or help/opinions that could help me?? (It’s also been kinda grainy at times...)

Thanks for the info and the pictures Bmarcantle. It sounds like she needs deworming. The vet can treat the worms easily enough. It also sounds like you got her from a BYB, that's a ridiculous statement, they couldn't afford to register the liter.
Anyway, you have her now and it doesn't matter what mix she is. As far as food, any well balanced PUPPY food will do. Stay away from ones with real high protein content to avoid knuckling over. Best of luck with that great looking girl.
