I have been around pitbull dogs for the past 5 years. What great dogs they are! I don't care that my grandpa despises them and doesn't want them near him lol. I got my first pitbull as a foster dog and I found a really good home for him. He was the sweetest thing. Stronger than what I was used to in a dog, but so sweet and submissive. He chewed up some expensive shoes and a phone, but, oh well! I still love the pittys
Currently, I have a big bully pitbull type girl (85 pounds) that I am trying to find a home for. That is one reason I wanted to join this forum, to see if someone in Oregon (Eugene area) out there is looking for a big pitbull. She was dumped in woods (looks like a breeder girl) and brought to the animal shelter. She was kind of wild when we got her, but we have trained her a little and she is eager to learn. She is probably 3 or 4. She still has a desire to hunt, which can be difficult to manage but I am trying to get that out of her. She lives in a kennel outside, and has been living there since July. We didn't anticipate it taking so long to find her a home and we can't bring her in our home. So, if anyone in Oregon is looking for this kind of dog, or if there is anything you can do to help her find a home, then please let me know.
The other reason I wanted to join this forum is because my husband has started a business making leather dog leashes, collars, muzzles, and harnesses. I wanted to get word out about it because they are great leashes. They are super strong, they come in a few different widths. He also makes a really nice harness. It is all really high quality stuff and we want to get the word out there!
Hope to connect with people!
