STEPP'S GR. CH. ANGUS:
Angus' sire was a dog named Willie Brown's Nigger, who was a two time winner, sired by Clayton's Eli, Jr. bred to his mother, Boudreaux' Spook.
DAVIS' GR. CH. BOOMERANG:
Davis' Gr. Ch. Boomerang, was a littermate to some great dogs, including Petronelli's Ch.. Fox, Art's Missy and Brown's Ch. Nell.
Boomerang was a five time winner and was the first dog to be awarded the "Gr. Ch." title by the SDJ. He was shown between '71-'75 at weights between 39-42 lbs. His longest outing was :55 against Teal's Tramp.
ADAMS' GR. CH. ZEBO ROM:
In the early 1970's, in North Carolina, was a young fancier named Lonzo Pratt who was just starting in th dog game and was purchasing and breeding some well bred dogs from known dog men. He had purchased a young tested gyp from J. Loposay by the name of Fay, who was sold because she turned cold and wouldn't start for Jack Kelly and was left on Loposay's yard by Pete Sparks. After numerous breedings Lonzo struck fame from one breeding that contained three males and two females. The two females were Lena and Rosie, the males were Crush, Vindicator, and Zero. Of the three males Zero and Vindicator would distinguish themselves as great match dogs. The better of the two was Zero, as Zebo was originally named, who gained his fame as a match dog and producer. In all, this black 40-44 lb. dog won a total of seven contract matches, thus becoming a registered Grand Champion, a Register Of Merit sire, and a member of the Bulldog Hall Of Fame, the only dog to be recognized by these three honors.

i also found a photo of the famouse roll dog, trussles dum, dum.the largest game dog of all time.ive been trying to make this photo look a little better but it aint happening,lol....one of my all time favs,85 pounds lean!!
this is the story o plumbers alligatorbeing rolled and beaten by trussels dum,dum....
In their quest for perfection, they made a request to use Trussell’s Dum Dum dog to see if Alligator was truly game. Dummy you see was a game dog that was even bigger than Alligator. It seems that in that day and time any dog from a cross, scatter bred or real rough were suspect of being a cur, so they did everything they could to stop Alligator. When they got to Trussell’s they ran Alligator on the tread mill for one half hour then fifteen minutes road work to cool him down, then to the roll pit, where he went over half an hour with the larger Dum Dum dog. It was nip and tuck and Alligator went across when he shouldn’t have on wobbly legs. This roll turned out to be a pretty good game test for Dum Dum too. When asked how it turned out, Trussell said, "The black dog gave Dummy everything he wanted."

Don't forget the Colby dogs
Primo set the breed standard for the AKC. He was triple registered with the UKC, ADBA and AKC. Remeber the AKC first called the AMSTAFF a Staffordshire Terrier and then changed the name to "American Staffordshire Terrier". This is was changed because the AKC had added a similar breed named the "Staffordshire Bull Terrier".
UKC 233-460
AKC 641-443
ADBA 500-01
Whelped May 29, 1935
Sire: Colby's Brandy
Dam: Colby's Mable

Okay, I feel it's been established that AKC, UKC and ADBA dogs were once considered the same breed with different names.
IMO, AKC people seem to take more care in which dogs they breed, is this why AMSTAFF's now have a distinct look regardless of bloodline? Probably, the AKC is very strict on confirmation. ADBA and UKC APBT's only seem distinct by bloodline. It's almost as if every bloodline has become it own standard of what the dog should look like (size, shape, color, etc...). How often do you hear AMSTAFF breeders discussing bloodlines? This seems to be the most important thing when talking about an APBT. With AMSTAFF's traits were bred out. With ABPT's some traits were bred in (sometimes by crossing with other breeds).
