pup walking

im starting to walk my pup after getting what I consider a fair amount of preventative shots and I was wondering when I walk her she sometimes walk behind me and/or on side but sometimes she pulls on the leash. Is this ok or should I always make her walk behind me.

how old is the pup?

you can rest assured that they'll pull you if you let'm...

mine will walk beside my kid or just behind...always on the left...

but with me it's a battle sometimes...they know when I let them pull and i'll pop the lead and say LEFT and they'll come to my side.....but I want them to pull some so's to wear them down a bit....

but it's has if they know that my kid cant handle the pulling so they don't...weird aint it..hahaha

what i'm trying to say is nothing wrong with being a pup but they got to know you the boss....

rome wasn't built in a day...lol

Haha isn't that funny that they know to be gentle with the little ones...My boy about rips my arm out of socket playing tug but if a kid is playing with him he just holds it still and let's them pull, he walks so nicely on the leash for them too

Likewise, my boy Titus will be a perfect gentleman when my eight year old grand girl has the leash in her hands. Just opposite of Welder, mine is always on the right. Just the way I taught him.
