Puppy starting dog school

So i just enrolled my puppy for dog school. It starts march 19th and at that time he will be 5 months old just wondering if that is a good age to start ? Some people are telling me to wait until hes a bit older

yeah earlier the better plus it gets him used to a class atmosphere before he gets older and might decide he doesn't like other dogs And if that happens obedience is a must so good for you! Is it a class you are attending with him?

Mine is very lazy though so its hard to train him i still cant even get him to lie down treats amd toys dont influence him much either when i try to teach him things he just walks away

It is best to start as soon as possible between 8 weeks and 4 months. During that time they learn the quickest and best (this is the imprinting period).
At least, that was explained to me.
