Which trainer(s)...
There are many different dog training methods. With the internet we have access to tons of information, so much so that it can be overwhelming sometimes. Is there a trainer or method that you respect? I'd love to see a thread with lots of links, information, book recommendations, and videos that members have tried, whether it be for basic obedience, working dog, competition, trick training, whatever...
I'd like to see this as an informational thread with no badmouthing other people's chosen methods. Share your favorites so others may benefit!

The trainers I have been following the most lately have been Jeff Gellman, of Solid K9 Training, and Tyler Muto.
Jeff has a website, 4 different locations, a radio show, blog, seminars and lots of great videos on youtube for basic obedience as well as how to correct problem behaviors.
Tyler is very much the same, but I love his videos on competition heeling. He works with his adopted Malinois, and his friend has some sort of bully breed doing the same. These dogs are awesome!

the 2 trainers i have worked with arent so big time...
Lisa @ Custom K9 Performance is who i got Banshee from but she is also a trainer. here's her website Dog Training in Albuquerque and Los Lunas
the other trainer is more local to me and is Dawn Capp, the president of Chako Pit Bull rescue. she doesnt have her own site, but u can find Chako on FB. they offer free training for all of the dogs that they adopt out, for the life of the dog!

K9 Connection has a few locations within the US and has many people who transport their dogs to them. My daughter's pit bull Chloe was a found dog that had aggression/separation issues and after boot camp came back a most wonderful companion. K9 Connection has different programs to choose from as well. You can find them on facebook to see some of their work. I believe it was actually Tyler Muto that worked with Chloe a few times but all trainers there are quite capable.

I have been through about 4 trainers to find one they worked for me and my dog. The first 2 were positive training only and it really didn't make an ouch of difference because my dog was so amped up from the time he got out the Door it wasn't possible. I had one who was correction only and I wasn't a fan because I'm not an owner who can not hang out with their dog and one of their suggestions was putting my dog In a crate in my room while I was home. I understand now the merit behind the request but at the time I thought he was CRAZY to leave my dog crated while I was home! lol live and learn
My last trainers offer a balanced approach to find out why works for the owner but more important what works for the dog. Www.hexdogs.com

Thanks guys!
Ames, that Hex training sounds like a great place. I've got family up there in Gardner, Worcester, and Winchendon... I'm going to pass on that link to my cousin who works with shelter / rescue dogs, thanks!
