ANY other things I can try?

When the door bell rings in my home my puppy stops whatever she is doing and shoots down the stairs and starts to go crazy barking running all over the place I have no idea what to do! I try to tell her stops she does not listen I try to hold her down she fights and fights then she stops I let her go she is at it again! I keep holding her down till she is calm but she then does it again! Then I know I am not to chase her but she gets on the couch and runs back and forth barking and when i try to hold her she just keeps running away and thinks im playing! should I get a shock collar? I dont know what else to do! even when people ignore she she goes behind dem and starts licking their pants and legs When they sit she would jump on the couch and want to jump on them and lick them! What to dooooooo??? she knows down but when the door bell rings its like she turns crazy!

Have a friend come over and ya'll should reinvent the situation that makes her got nuts. You should have a leash on her at first so you can control the situation. On lead you can show her and praise her for doing what you want. Also, don't let her jump all over your guests... believe it or not, it's a sign of dominance.

i agree on the leash thing. try that, make her sit by the door and stay calm. dont let her have the option to jump on people.

do you have a crate for her? worst case, everytime the someone comes put her in it untill she calms down.

i actually encourage my puppy to bark when someone knocks, becuase he rarely does, and id like him to. at night when he gets spooked from it he does, but one loud "SHH!" and he just lays down by the door.
