Lookin for some thoughts

So the DD and I have been working hard on our ob especially outside with distractions. Nala is making steady progress and responds very well to praise. Kaos does better with corrections and is in point 90% of the time. We can be mid stride and he will stay/down/sit on command. Tonight he even managed a sit/stay while another dog walked by almost the entire time. He was up when the dog was closest but kept himself controlled which is a true feat. We need to do some double leash work with a flat and a choke to transition some of his control to the flat but overall heís got it down except for one thing......

He knows stay and he will stay mid walk like I said. He will do a down/stay and a sit/stay by my side or in front of me all day long. The problem exists when Iím in front of him. If he can see me and Iím not RIGHT THERE with him he wonít stay. Every single time he will come to directly in front of me and stay or come to a heel and stay. He will NOT stay at any distance from me if he can see me. If Iím behind him he does fine. He doesnít have separation anxiety as I can leave him and he doesnít freak but if Iím home he HAS to be with me. He is a true mamaís boy. We are working it one step at a time in the apt but Iím open to any suggestions to at least lessen the superglue down to maybe regular glue heís attached to me with!
