Pancake and her barking issues

As of late, Cakes has had occasional issues with barking at new people that she comes in contact with. Her last visit at the sorority ended a wee bit early because she was a bit too skittish around all of the new girls. Just this past weekend she barked at a family friend. This family friend is unfortunately scared of dogs, his body language was ridiculous to say the least. This guy is 6' 3"+. We thought she was well socialized, thus far. The past few months life has picked up the pace and her frequent outings downtown and around strangers has slowed considerably. My wife and I both agree Cakes needs at least a day a week exposure in some new environments. BTW,she's nine months old. I think it was too much stimulation too fast. I correct her immediately when this happens. I really think she gets scared around a lot of people. Too much too soon? I appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks,
Jason

This is part of your dogs temperament and I suggest you go to training classes where a trainer can help you figure out what will help your dog. Find a good trainer and if you want help pm me your city and zip code and I can help. Do not waste money on petsmart or petco you need a real trainer to help you evaluate the dog. We can give you all kinds of suggestions but this is best looked at in person to help you the best.

I second this

Let a real trainer show you how to control the situation. Barking can become a problem (ie: your friend who is afraid of dogs)
