Greeting people problem

Hey everyone! Iv got a 4 month old pit puppy named athena. I recently just got her a harness because shes getting so big and it offers more control when we go outside. Recently everytime she sees a stranger outside she immediately starts pulling and jumping trying to get to them. She not doing it in an aggressive manner just in a very excited manner. I dont want her to be fearful of other people but I also dont want her freaking out and trying to jump on everyone we see outside. Any tips with this problem will be much appreciated!

Just keep making her sit and relax when she is pulling. Make her sit before anyone pets her. At home, dont encourage her to jump on you. Also, I think harnesses promote pulling. Train hard, consistant, and be confident.

Take her to obedience school, it would be the best thing for her and would help you out a lot! Walk the dog on a heavy duty close leash and have the dog wearing a 1 1/2" - 2" heavy duty collar with the dog wearing a prong collar. Attach the leashes (you will need more that one leash) to both the collars (dog collar and prong collar) and the harness. Start by walking the dog by your side (do not let her walk in front of you). If he tries to pull, stop and pull her back to your side.

Obedience school would be a great opportunity, I definitely recommend signing up. Your dog also needs to be socialized!

Don't let anyone greet her until she is sitting politely. If she figures out that nobody is going to approach her while she's being a tard, then being petted will be its own reward.
