Spring Pole Time
Finally got around to making the derp dawg a spring pole... nice and low.
Now he has something to tug with that doesn't have fingers that can be dislocated, whoop!
Turn up the volume, it's the best part.

Dang... it's not letting me embed it...

Hahaha his moan-growls are hilarious has he ever made those noises outside of the spring pole session?
I've really been thinking of building a spring pole. Any pointers as to the fabricating? My local bully-store has a big ass one but it's simply too large and waay too expensive.

Ha, his noises are ridiculous. And nope, those are just his tug noises. The first time I heard the moaning/screaming I freaked out because I thought he had caught a tooth or something. Turns out, that's just his thing.
Here's my whole setup:
Those are 2 garage door springs.

Thanks Beret. Any specific tension strength on those springs? Why 2 instead of 1? Or do garage door springs only come in one universal tension...
Figured I will need.
1) Chain to hang from branch
2) 2 Carabiners
3) 1 or 2 garage door springs
4) Rope/Durable toy
missing anything?

Living in the condo id suggest just getting the super tug. Idk how the homeowners association, landlord, park mangers, so on and so on are gonna feel about a chain on their tree (if none of this is a concern just move on I was only suggesting)

So funny you mention that JTP bc I've been contemplating the super tug for soo long now! It is definitely more ideal for me with the HOA etc. The HOA however doesn't really bother me and 80% of the owners in the complex know or have been licked by Luna
I could sport the spring pole out near the golf course for sure though. Only short sessions so if by the off chance someone told me to take it down...we'd most likely be ready to pack it up anyways.
Do you, or anybody on here have any experience/feedback with the super tug?

I dnt have any personal experience with it. For the price id try it. Isnt like youd be out $200 if it was crap. The replacement parts are readily available and reasonably priced. I would even thing you could elevate it like the one on this thread. I just think its more tree friendly than a chain. I wouldn't want a chain hanging on my trees (unless of course I owned wooded property).

Good idea (hanging the tug from a tree branch like a spring pole). There's a you tube video where one of the owners, a 180lb+ guy, displays the strength of that little paracord by hanging on it and bouncing etc. Pretty impressive for that little cord.
Thanks again though. I totally put the supertug in the back of my mind. Their website seems to be down atm though.

I have a really portable spring pole very similar to the one Ames has...I will see if I can find a pic...I've never heard of the super tug...

Here is Ames' pic of hers... Mine is very similar. Then I also have the traditional type that is in the do-it-yourself threads
Ames's set up

Thanks Coach. Ame's setup looks nice and easy enough. I will just need to find the correct tensiled (not a word) spring.
Here's the Squishy Face Studios Supertug for reference.

Oh yeah that looks pretty cool... and plus it won't give "that" image that most people think of when they think of spring poles with chains
