Going on a hike!

My boyfriend and I take Compa hiking on the weekends. There are so many trails at Griffith Park, Observatory by the Hollywood Sign (for those of you in the L.A. area) It's a great workout!!

Before, We got there early but it was still very sunny

On our way...

Taking a break

After, All done and having fun in the grass

"Stop taking pictures of me, I'm tired!!"

I really like going there because they have doggy drinking fountains. We still take his portable bowl and bottle waters so he can always be hydrated.

Here are some pics when we finished the trail:

^Can you see the Hollywood sign?

Oh, and Compita is going to be 6 months old next week
incase you are wondering..

Looks like Compa is having a good time! Great pictures! We went hiking in Georgia I wish Chino would have been around then....maybe next time lol thanks for sharing!

Thaim is right about going hiking that young. It's not so much because of the rocks, but if he has to step down from higher surfaces, that is what could stunt his growth.

It's not just this particular activity. It's with anything that puts excess stress on joints... Such as jogging/running, springpole, and flirtpole, and weightpull. As a guideline you shouldn't let your puppy jump much before 8 or 9 months because bully breeds mature slower.

No, I don't think he's too young. We walk him everyday and on the weekends we like to take him walking on through those trails, it's nothing difficult.

Thanks =-)

And he's not a bully breed. I'm aware of what can affect a puppy's growth. We don't have him do anything difficult, let alone stress his joints. He's a very active dog, even when we think we are done walking he wants to keep going. I'm the one that gets tired not him really.

Hiking is just once a week on the weekends as I mentioned, and lately it has been every other weekend...
