Smile King's quarterly update: Q1/2015 [2yrs old]

Hey everyone!

I've decided to try out something new since I'm tired of bumping King's photo journal lol AND his journal is getting ridiculously longggggggg.

For those of you who haven't seen it yet:

https://www.gopitbull.com/pictures/63...g-updates.html

Starting this year, I hope to keep posting updates on King every 3 months(quarter) IF ANYTHING. Pictures summarizing what we've been up to and how King's progressing.

So, King's coming along nicely into his year of being age 2. Great drive, great working intensity, excellent disposition.

Conditioning is really going well with this dog. His body is really maturing and so is the mind. At 2 yrs old, he is right on schedule.

No health issues to report! Woohoo!

He's still 100% kibble fed. Orijen Regional Red. 2 cups daily on non-working/light working days. 2.5-3 cups on (hard) working days. In his current state, he's a steady 56lbs. I don't think the look of his build really translates all that weight, but I attribute that to his genes: his mother has heavy muscle density and it seems she printed that onto King through & through.

Without further delay, here is King: Quarter 1, 2015 edition.

WOW Matt! King is stunning as usual. You out did yourself on some of those photo's. The first one looks like a painting. Love the sweet look on his face in the forth picture. Really appreciate you taking the time to share your beautiful boy with us.

If you don't mind me asking what is the name of the floatation device around his neck in the swimming pool pic. Something like that would be great for my poor boy Titus who is a structural mess and at 2.1/2 can hardly walk. Just had him to an ortho specialist this week. Not good news. Low impact workout in the pool might be something he can do.

Thanks Joe!

I'm always looking for ways to introduce variations of activities into King's regimen of work, just to keep it fun for both of us.

I've been thinking about getting the 1st one printed on canvas, but haven't gotten around to it!

As for that thing around his neck in the pool, it's something homemade by my friend(who owns the pool that I take King to swim at for 30-40mins straight once a week, every week). Basically, my friend cut a segment of a pool foam noodle into pieces and stuck it onto an old, narrow leather collar. I put it on King just to keep him from taking in too much water when he retrieves stuff. It keeps his head as high as possible. He doesn't just "free swim" so I have to throw something out for him to go and retrieve for me lol.
