Well, Selphie (that JRT mix or Rat Terrier mix) that we adopted a few weeks ago ended up not being a good fit for us-- she wouldn't quit snapping at my 3 year old. So I found her a home with a lady who has no kids, and she is doing SOOOOO well!
Good deed done!
Then a few days after that, we got an email from a friend who said that kittens had been dumped (again) in her neighborhood. These were old enough to go straight to new homes, and she also had found a Mama cat and 2 week old litter in a box not to far from them.
Why do people do that??
Well, we agreed to take in one of the females from the older litter, she looks about 7 weeks old. She's kind of skinny, but the vet gave her a clean bill of health! I can't seem to get her to hold still so that I can get a really good picture. But here's what I made to introduce her on FB, lol.
Obviously, her name is Willow. She acted a little feral-- but it could be that she had never been in a house before... She's got us all wrapped around her little claw, even my ornery old Poe! The dogs love her. Keira tries to mother her.
Just so glad we were able to help... and that my hubby said yes. I wsn't even going to ask, hahaha.... but he made a valid point. With Poe getting older (and with his seizures), he doesn't really play with Maverick. Willow can be Maverick's playmate!
