technically tomorrow but I liked these pics of him before we went to work this morning. This week he is at work in the office with me daily lol

What do you guys think? someone told he he looked skinny, i told them u could see his ribs when he breathes and a healthy outline when he s just chillin.

He s 51lbs about 19 inches tall at withers, he is athletic looking but not stocky.

He looks fine to me, although the angle of the pics isn't the best.

I get told all the time that Kane is too skinny when he's exactly where he should be. Too many people own fat dogs. You should be able to run your hands over your dog's sides and be able to feel their ribs a bit. Especially with the thin coat of a pit, it'll be easier to see the ribs.

oh ya, locally i have yet to see one pit bull that is in shape.....these guys here in LA like em fat and square lol

here are some more shots of this past week (next to my son 16yr old Alexander 6ft 3..... dog looks tiny lol)

this one is like 2 weeks old....

now he is only 7 months old...but ive done my best to make sure he is always at perfect weight, ....the funny part is i free feed him but he only eats when he is hungry, ..... i have been feeding him Synergy from week 10 and he doesn't overeat ever.

his coat is nice, his poop is solid, i mean i think he looks in perfect weight, ...im sure for a pup more fat would be ok....but this guy i think is one of those dogs that will always be in shape not so much from being super active but from having healthy eating habits.

I don't think he is too skinny. (I am no expert since I am trying to get my boy to lose weight cause he got to chub chub, lol)

this is my second dog ever...so i dont know anything about dogs other than if u treat them like children in every way they respond like children in every way.

i read that an outline should be seen without the ribs sticking out.....to me my dogs profile fits that description...and for a couple of months he wasnt eating too much so i added 1 inch cubes of cow fat into 1 meal every other day until i saw what u see today......now as of weeks ago he eats just the Synergy....and now to keep it a lil interesting i drizzle a few table spoons of fat free cow milk..... only treats he gets is oral higyene ones....and like for xmas got him a bone and meat (beef).....to eat raw... but 99.9% of what he has eaten is Synergy.

I think he looks great, .....but here in Los Angeles they dont even know what a APBT is.... here we know pitbulls that are always crossed with bulldog, mastiff , u name it..... true 50lbs APBT that are in shape and look like muscular greyhounds to an extent in the sleekness......u never see here. at least out there....

He looks fine. As he gets older, you'll see the genetics start to play out in the amount of muscle tone and definition he gets without you working him out.

I would avoid giving him the cow's milk, though. It can cause digestive problems as dogs aren't able to process it like they should.

I know what you mean about the big hulking dogs, too. It's the same where I am. Everyone thinks Kane is too small to be a pit, because they have the 70-80 pounders that are crosses. When really, if you were to compare Kane to the old APBTs, he's actually towards the bigger end of the spectrum at 50lbs.

right, thats what im thinking.....i really thing 60-65 is the max that I have personally seen on legit dogs and usually they are pushing the in shape threshold thinly lol

as far as cow s milt its like 2 tablespoons but if u dont think thats healthy what do u recommend? i am trying to make his food more exciting than just dry food same bowl every day ....but i dont wanna feed him junk

Plain yogurt is great to add. It has probiotics and stuff that's just as healthy for dogs as it is for us. Pumpkin is good too. You might want to look in the Health section for things you can add to his food to spice things up.

To be honest, I'm not the best person to ask ... I give Kane his 3 cups of food plain and then feed him tidbits of scraps here and there. A bit of sausage, some pizza crust. As long as you aren't excessive, keep the scraps limited, and watch his weight, I've never seen a reason not to treat him.
