Pit bull puppies stolen from Utica woman
I feel sorry for these puppies because who knows what type of person got their hands on them; however, the fact that this "breeder" considers them RARE makes me hope she doesn't get them back either. I felt bad for her up until the rare comment. Also, where was the mother dog? Nothing about her anywhere in the article. If the woman thinks they are worth far more than what she is selling them for then why is she selling them at that price? This screams BYB.... Oh, and watch the video because the news guy refers to the dogs as being a "rare blue fawn BREED." Nice...
UTICA, NY (WKTV) - Margaret Boutell is an aspiring dog breeder. She was in the middle of raising and selling her first litter, when all of her hard work, and her puppies, were gone.
Boutell arrived at her Utica home around 1:15am Thursday. She distinctly remembers locking her doors before she left. To her surprise, all of the doors were open when she returned home. She ran to her bedroom only to discover her three pure-bread, pit bull puppies were missing.
"I'm still in shock," Boutell said. "I still can't believe it's happened. I'm numb. I'm emotionally drained, I'm really concerned about them."
The distraught owner says the pups still are in need of some shots. And she is worried about the care the dogs are receiving.
Police have informed Boutell they have a list of potential suspects. But Boutell just wants her three, six-week old puppies back in good health.
As if the emotional loss wasn't enough, the aspiring breeder stands to lose financially as well. Boutell was selling the pups for $1,000 a piece. But she says they are actually worth far more than that because of their rare, Blue Fawn breed.
Boutell alerted all local vets of the stolen pit bulls. And she hopes all of you will keep your eyes peeled for her missing babies as well.
