Best way to teach bite inhibition (IMO) is to redirect their attention to an appropriate chew toy. When they mouth, say a firm "no!", give them a toy or something to chew on, then praise when you do. You will have to be consistent and it will take a while.

Have you started crate training yet?

I sure hope the dog's mom was full of blood...

Welcome to the forum Danny1993!
Would really enjoy seeing some pictures of your new puppy. What did you name him?
Crate training is important for the puppy and yourself. The pup needs to have it's own safe place where he feel secure. When the dog whines or barks he is looking for attention, you need to ignore the noise he makes. Even hollering or telling him to "stop" is giving him attention. He needs to learn that his whining produces no response. when he goes a few minutes without barking or crying open the crate door and praise him. Wait a half hour or so and put him back into the crate and repeat the process. He will soon figure out that his crying gets no response and keeping quiet reaps him praise and a treat. Small steps, he is still very much a baby and training can take months or more.

This is a good read if you are kind of new to puppy-raising. Easy to follow and quickly refer to. The suggestions are easy to implement.

There are others, but I would get something as soon as possible to help you along. The first 16 weeks are important.

I'd suggest joining a puppy obedience class. It's good socialization and should be really helpful for both your pup and yourself.
