Safe around other dog in house?

So we just rescued hunter who is 6 months old and hes great however there's already another dog in the house who's about 14 months old they get along but should i be worried about when he matures cause they like to play a lot and sometimes accidents are made on both sides and one gets to rough (they immediately stop after they hear a cry) The other dog is also a little derpy and has bad joints. Should i be concerned and make sure they're supervised 24/7 when they are around each-other? As of now they play almost always when around each-other when not in the crate or in their rooms

I correct them both when they get too carried away. as does everyone in the house.

retro,

First, way to go on the rescue of Hunter.
Good question. Without a doubt they should be chaperoned 24/7 especially when treats, toys or meals are involved. Part of being a good chaperone is to develop the ability to read your dogs body language and thwart behavior before it happens. Hopefully, you will never need it but it would be wise to keep a break stick on hand and know how to use it.
