A WOMAN is due to be sentenced today after pleading guilty to being in charge of a dangerous, out-of-control dog which caused injury to a child.
Mum-of-four Toni Badcock is due to appear at Peterborough Crown Court after her American bulldog Buddy attacked four-year-old George Brown outside his home in Norfolk Road, Huntingdon, on May 24 this year.
The youngster was playing outside his home in Huntingdon when he was attacked by the dog on August 14.
He was rushed to Addenbrooke’s hospital in Cambridge where he remained overnight.
The child needed 200 stitches after receiving bites to his face.
Badcock was convicted at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court in September, and sentencing was adjourned to the Crown Court because of the seriousness of the case.
