Mine transitioned really easily too! I jumped ahead as well I think weight loss is very normal though, then after like 6 weeks you start seeing the nice results! Mine both looked scrawny for a few weeks! I'm happy to hear that yours are doing so well. You could mix the ACV with ground beef with warm water (that is what I do) and maybe the picky dog will eat it.

Thanks for the tip I'll try that I'm surprised actually at how well its going. I think my main proteins are going to be chicken, venison, pork ribs, and ground beef. I know the ground beef isn't good for their teeth but I'm going to supplement it with turkey necks so they get the bone they need as well since most beef bones are too much for their teeth. I'm also looking into raising flemish giant rabbits to feed them as well.

Yeah I do ground beef and just give a pork neck bone or a turkey back to ad some bone to it. I also wanted to raise rabbits for their food! But I couldn't do the butchering.... bunnies are too cute.

Lol! I love bunnies too but I think the dogs would benefit. I would be feeding whole prey not butchering. I already told roy he's got to kill them I can't do it. In fact I have a pet bunny but she's a Holland lop so it's not the same lol... at least that's what I'm telling myself!

Aw I used to love my Holland Lops, I used to always have at least one as a kid...Well that was until my little sister (about 8 yrs old at the time) didn't latch the door all the way before taking her rabbit out, and one of our ApBT jumped on the door to push it open and snatched the rabbit out of her hands. My biggest love was always the dogs and she was more into the little critters, so I gave her my new baby Holland to make her feel better and never got another.

I'll have to post some pics of mine lol. Her name is trixie and she's a broken calico. I'm in the process of finding a nice pedigreed blue or opal buck to take her too. I'm getting into rabbit showing oddly enough lol. I went to a show with my aunt and one of her rabbits pulled in 4th. The other one was dq'd for being too fat LOL.

I feed high prey so I speak softly on this because I don't follow it... but raw feeding whole bunnies is iffy,, there are liver diseases in rabbits that can POSSIBLY hurt or kill your pup.. if butchering check for yellowing on the liver.. if whole feeding, keep them up to date !!!

Really?? I only came up with the thought after following posts on fb. A lady on a lot of the groups I'm in raises APBT and she raises her own food for the dogs and rabbits are her main staple she said... I guess I'll have to look further. None of her dogs get any shots and haven't for years according to her because she believes they cause cancer but all of my dogs are current on vaccinations and wormer.

I don't want to scare you away, I feed them.. Wild rabbits are the most prone to the possible diseases Rabbit Tularemia and Hepatic Coccidiosis.. but it can happen In a bunny farms too... and spread.

Just wanted you to be aware..

Yeah when I said butchering, I meant breaking the neck or whatever yeah I couldn't do it. I am on a meat rabbit group and they said rabbits are too lean to feed dogs everyday, you'd have to ad beef.
