One comment I would like to make...If you are seriously thinking about doing Schutzhund, maybe lay off the springpole. In schutzhund the dog needs to learn a full calm grip on the sleeve. The springpole can encourage growling, shaking and for the dog to take bites with the front teeth, instead of a full bite. Sometimes, not always, this can transfer to the arm sleeve. When I am grooming a dog/imprinting them for schutzhund, I do not use the springpole. Later on, when they are trained and are past all the bite building, then I will let them springpole.
Just something to think about....
