My 3 year old Pitbull (I have raised her since birth) has started getting possessive. While she's not aggressive, growling or barking, it is a new behavior for her. She does not want anyone or our other animals to lay or sit next to me. She will physically place her 75 lb body between us. She will also push on me. Does anyone have any insight on this?

Are you possibly pregnant or ill in some way that would release a change in hormones/pheromones that she can pick up on? Dogs' behavioral changes sometimes indicate something awry with their owner/handler that the person may not be aware of. I'm pregnant, and my dogs have both become very protective over me around other people outside the family, and want to lay on my stomach when they're on rotation. If there's nothing different with you, then you may just need to do some reinforcement training, working on separating her from you, rotating her out with the other dogs and giving each one individual attention.
