Got a new dog yesterday...a guy had a half pit/ half lab and was abusing the hell outta it would punch it and kick it and left it outside with no shelter...just total abuse and neglect...It seems the only attention this doggie got was a whoopin...a friend of mine saw this happen and got the dog from the guy but couldn't keep him...my wife and I couldn't let him go to the pound so we took him...he deaf so it may alittle different for us but a welcome addition to go with our pit, Golden Retriever, Parrot, rabbit, and cat...He fits right in...

That was super of you to take him in. I HATE people that abuse animals, children and old people. I mean what kind of person are you that you gets thrills from abusing something that is helpless. I am so happy that you took him and will give him a good home.

Poor little pup. That really gets my blood boiling when I hear things like this. My boy Dosia came to me at around 8-9 weeks old scared as can be and was being choked if he peed on the floor. I felt the same way you do. No way in the world could I let this sweet little pup go to the pound.

i hate to be a killjoy, but a deaf dog is a dangerous dog,
especially around children. euthanize that dog before you
end up a victim of your own circumstance. i have 1st
hand experience with said type, and nothing good can
come of it as the dog matures.

One of my favorite dogs as a little kid was totally deaf. He got along fine. We'd stomp on the porch to call him. lol. That goofy blue dingus used to jump on the trampoline with us too. One of the sweetest dogs ever. But Padlock I can see where your coming from.

I have and my rescue has dealt wit quite a few deaf dogs, they do require more/different training then a typical puppy/dog but it is quit doable. Now that being said what Paddy is saying can be true and you do have to watch them for aggression as they are more easily startled. I say get him in training and NOT have him pts unless you see signs of aggression.
