Well in 11 years I have yet to have a PITBULL harm my kids or nieces and nephews sooo I think I will keep mine

If I thought for a minute my grandkids were in danger from their 7 pits I would be screaming my head off and I would probably be fighting with my son and his wife but I know everyone of the dogs and I feel that they are safe. The only thing I have seen the dogs do to the 9 month old is either lick her feet when she sticks them in the crate. She sticks them up and they will lick and she will just laugh. That is usually with Bumblebee (my fav). She goes by Snoops cage and he likes to lick any part of her body that he can reach with that tongue of his. Usually its the back of her head. Then she has a "dog" lick on the back of her head. Yeah I think we'll keep them around the kids. I feel better knowing that when my 5 year old granddaughter goes outside to play that she has something that will protect her. People think twice about coming in your yard to grab your child. The only dog I worry about that they have is the chiwawa (sp). But my daughter-in-law is a very and I mean very responsible dog owner. How do I know that? I had to take her to the vet not too long ago with one of her dogs to have it put down. It was showing aggression towards people and she was not going to take a chance of the kids being hurt or anyone else for that matter. She was heartbroken. This was one of her pups from her last litter and it had been adopted out. Things happened, the dog came back, it just wasn't the same dog that left. But like I said she is a VERY RESPONSIBLE owner. She loved that dog but she also knew it wasn't a life for her being tied up away from everyone and everything for something that wasn't her fault.

Look at her banner for her website and you will see all the dogs that are in the home with my granddaughters (except for one of the pits which is one of them that had to be put down). Do they look mean to you? I wish people wouldn't condemn a breed because of stupidity. If they want to do that because of them having bad experiences with the breed then it is easier to try and understand why they have those feelings but when it is just because of stories that they have heard its harder to try and understand. When I was a child I was bit by a German Shepard that snuck up behind me. I had known this dog for years. It belonged to a friend. I don't condemn them.

When you look at her banner you can see all the dogs and if you notice there is a little white dog in the picture. That is Frances and she was raised with Slim. They do everything together. And the dog with the green collar on is Bumblebee (my fav). Of all the dogs in that picture the one that worries me the most? Frances. Yes, Frances. People don't stop to think about the little dogs. Think about this. You have small children in the home, you have one of these ankle biters, you let the dog have the run of the house with the kids, the kids are playing with the dog and if you have a young child in the home, like a toddler, they are probably pulling on the dogs ears, slapping at the dog and the next thing you know the dog has bit the toddler and most of the time it is in the face because the child is usually sitting on the floor.

I have watched that show "It's Me or The Dog" and Victoria says on the show time after time that more people are bitten by small dogs because when they show aggression to people, the majority of the owners will laugh and think its so cute because the dog is "protecting" them. WRONG!!!!!! That is just stupidity. Let a large breed dog do that and it is either put down w/o any questions as to why the dog did it or the owner puts it in the backyard on a chain and left there.

Francis has the same temperament of my pitbulls. What causes these issues in small dogs is owners letting there dogs do whatever they want becasue they are small. My Chihuahua is crate trained and raised witht eh same manners I would expect from my pitbulls. She IS NOT one of those yippy snappy dogs. She is completely human friendly.

That is one thing I can say about Francis is she is definitely not a yippy dog. I'm not sure if I have ever heard her bark. Not so for her mother, father and brother. They go nuts when someone knocks on the door. They also will try and jump on you when you sit down.

Francis does have one thing that will get her in trouble----she thinks she's a pitbull. She doesn't realize how small she is and that she could be hurt if she gets sat on by Slim.
