Hi,

Anyone else ever had a pit with ears like this girls has? I always seen pits with ears that fold over, but never really stick out like this.

Did they fold over when she was a pup?

Thank you. Her name is Lyla and yes they were folded as a pup. She is about 5 months in these pics. The pic below is about 10 weeks or so. I just don’t understand the ears.

Are you positive she's purebred?
In the long run, doesn't matter as you love her anyhow!

Not sure with no papers and told the father has them, but not mom. She is our baby though.

Bat ears happen. It's not standard in any of the bull breeds, except for Bostons and Frenchies. But it does happen. It's pretty common in Shorty Bulls. Standard in the US is a crop for that reason.

We were considering a crop, but not sure if she is too old now at 6 months.

She is too old at 6 months but personally, I wouldn't crop them even if I could. Love those ears!

She is. Most do a max of 12 weeks. Once the cartilage starts to harden you are limited to a battle crop and that leaves almost no ear left. I personally don't prefer anything less than a short show crop myself.

Her ears are precious! I'm not a fan of ear cropping ( except in Dobermans, cuz otherwise they don't look like a Doby), so glad they get to stay. 😁🥰
