I just wanted to share this here...

A 9-year-old boy was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a he was mauled by a neighbor's Great Dane.

According to Martha Dooley with the Knox County Sheriff's Office, Kaleb Hindman was playing tag with his 6-year-old brother and neighborhood kids on Broken Creek Lane at 5:45 p.m.

A neighbors Great Dane broke through a wooden fence and grabbed Kaleb and threw him several times. The fence had been damaged during the recent storms and was going to be replaced.

Kaleb's brother tired to get the dog off of him. The dog eventually ran off and was caught by the dog's owner Eric Glasgow. Glasgow took the dog inside his home until officials arrived.

Officials with Rural\Metro took Hindman to the hospital with serious injured to his face and arms. UT Medical Center is not currently releasing Hindman's condition.

Animal Control officials took the dog and will hold it for ten days.

The incident is still under investigation.
