Can an American bully mainly (standard or XL) or a shorty bull do protection sports like Schutzhund, french ring, or PSA they say any breed can do the sport even mutts but german shepherds, Belgian malinois, most of the guardian working breed dominant the sport but there have been Labradors, Jack Russell terriers, and American bulldogs do it do they have the capability to do the sport I'm really interested in Schutzhund because it is common in my area.

This is an OG member from here. She's been running APBTs in Schuitzhund for decades.

Geach's cousin Minion won his episode of America's Top Dog

There used to be a member here named Pink, she had an American Bully named Torque, she did protection work with him as well.

Now will these breeds really protect when it's not a game? Maybe, but not likely. But all of them are people pleasers and should do well in the sport.

I'm not interested in doing actual protection work I just want to do the sport I'm aware that this breed is not a protection breed like a german shepherd.
