How can you tell when you choose your puppy from a litter how the color of coat will turn out when they get older? Like if you wanted a grey coat, how can you tell from the different shades of grey such as light, dark. I've noticed puppies turning with light tan spots on their coat the older they get. Or really dark.

The puppy I choose from litter I would like to turn out with a nice grey coat like this with red collar in first pic and less like the others with spots. Not trying to sound weird it's just the litter will have alot of puppies with different shades of grey and I'm trying to see what puppy shade will turn put like this one

You should be able to tell by 8-10 weeks if the pup is going to be brindle or solid. But honestly, you should be worried more about the pups personality fitting your lifestyle then the color of their coat.
