My 18 month old pit bull named diesel has been well behaved and listened to my commands until he turned 18 months. Now he is being defiant and not listening to my commands. Is this something i should really be worried about or is it just because of his age and just get back to basics with him again? I would appreciate any help.

He's starting to mature now and testing his boundaries with you. You've got to be a little more strict now and don't let him get away with anything. If you let him get away with stuff now, he'll go his life thinking he can get away with stuff.

Think of him as a three yr old child. He wants to see how much he get by with. It is up to you what you want from your dog then going after it to achieve the type of dog you want to spend the rest of your life with. I like a well behaved dog that listens and I can take out in public no matter where we are going. So I work obedience with my dogs all the time to keep everything fresh in their minds.
