Launch of Doggie T shirt in effort to raise dog owner legislation awareness and funds towards the Bill 132 legal challenge.

(PRWEB) September 27, 2006 -- It has been just over a year that the Dog Owners Liability Act (DOLA) has been enforced. The Act bans the reproduction of certain breeds and owners of such breeds must comply to specific requirements under the new legislation. The Act focuses on the following breeds: pit bull terrier, Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, American pit bull terrier or any dog that has an appearance and physical characteristics substantially similar to any of those dogs.

The challenge to overturn the legislation remains and the legal costs continue to grow. The Dog Legislation Council of Canada (DLCC) and All For Paws have teamed together and are pleased to announce the launch of the "Talk to the Paw" T-shirt for dogs. The launch of the T-shirt is an effort to remind and educate the public that Bill 132 is still in force and that the DLCC continues to work on overcoming the specifics of the Dog Owners Liability Act. In addition to raising awareness we will be able to provide a means that will help towards the legal financing required to continue the fight. Five dollars from each T-shirt purchase will go towards the legal challenge presented to the Dog Legislation Council of Canada.

We are anticipating overwhelming support. T-shirts are available online at www.allforpaws. ca. Phone orders are also accepted at 1-800-747-7135. "Talk to the Paw" T-shirts will soon be available at retail selected retail stores.

The doggie T-shirts will be fitting for the larger breeds. Available in 3 different sizes, 2X, 3X and 4X, and available in three colours, black, pink or navy. Just in time for the cooler weather, allowing dogs and owners to display their support with their "Talk to the Paw" T-shirt.

We hope that the "Talk to the Paw" doggie T-shirt will become a recognizable item in the effort to support the legislative dispute.
Something to raise our Paws about! A pawsitive way to support the challenge!
